Terms and Conditions
Site users and participants in fitness programs or communities through The Movement: Feminist Fitness agree to the Terms and Conditions on this page.
Risk, Liability, and Health
Participation in a fitness class or program may involve risk, including, but not limited to sprains, pulled muscles, aches, pains and overall general soreness. All participants must seek competent medical advice before following any regiment of exercise, as well as monitor their own intensity levels and choices on the appropriate level of activity based on physical health. Any instruction or advice provided is intended only to guide in proper form, technique, and general wellness. Participants waive any claim or liability they may have against Feminist Fitness instructors, programs, or facilities for damages and/or injury, including death, resulting from participation.
Content, Tone, and Politics Acknowledgement
Some of the songs and moves in Feminist Fitness may include explicit language, sexual themes, and/or explicitly progressive themes. The intent is not to offend or sexualize or objectify instructors and/or participants, but to take-back and empower by celebrating sexuality and encouraging everyone to challenge preconceived notions of beauty, movement, power, fitness, and sexuality. All participants are asked to come to The Movement: Feminist Fitness with an open, nonjudgmental attitude about fitness, health, and bodies.
Community Standards
To create the most inclusive experience we can, all participants and staff are asked to follow our community standards, including:
1. Kindness & Respect: Everyone has inherent worth and dignity. Treat each other with respect and kindness.
2. Know Better; Do Better: If you realize you've made a mistake and perhaps offended someone, own it and do better next time!
3. Body-Neutral; Fat-Positive: Never ever make a comment about someone's weight, weight loss, weight gain. Even if you think it is a compliment, please work on not making fitness about weight and refrain from weight comments.
4. Inclusive, Affirming, Diverse Space: Work towards making this an inclusive and enlightening learning space for all regardless of sex, gender identity, gender expression, disability, race, ethnicity, religion, body size/shape, class, nationality, and so on.
5. Privacy in Community: While being in community with others (e.g., online in the Feminist Fitness Club, in a class, etc.), please respect other people's privacy. Please be mindful of what you share, and please keep information shared in group or community settings private. And, remember, there is no guarantee of privacy in group settings (including Facebook).
Privacy & Confidentiality Policy
Your Personal Information
Feminist Enterprises LLC does not sell or share your personal information, including name and email address.
Coaching Confidentiality
Dr. Sarah and Feminist Enterprises LLC fully protects the privacy and confidentiality of the communications with its Clients. At no time will Dr. Sarah/Feminist Enterprises LLC voluntarily divulge the coaching relationship between themselves and their Client without written permission from the Clients, unless required to do so by law.
Feminist Fitness Club Confidentiality
The Feminist Fitness Club is a moderated Facebook group; however, we cannot guarantee your privacy or confidentiality so please be mindful about what you post and share. Our Community Guidelines ask that all members keep information that others share in the FF Club private.
Refunds and Cancellation Policy
Personal Training Cancellations and Refunds
If you need to reschedule or cancel a session, please do so with at least 12 hours notice, and we can reschedule. Anything less, there will be no refund or “make-up” for the missed session. If the trainer must cancel or reschedule a session with less than 12 hours notice, you will be notified and asked to reschedule. If you do not want to reschedule, the trainer will refund the payment for the cancelled session. If you no longer want to train and need to cancel sessions or support you’ll be given a prorated refund on any unused sessions and support as long as the cancellation is sent 12 hours before the start.
Apparel and General Merchandise
All sales are final. Most of the products are drop ship, meaning they are printed and shipped when you order, and cannot be returned.
Live Classes Refunds and Cancellations
There are no refunds for live classes. If you need to cancel your reserved spot for a class, please do so at least 12 hours before class starts for a full refund. There are no refunds for classes cancelled with less than 12 hours notice.
Subscription Cancellations and Refunds
All subscriptions can be cancelled at anytime without penalty. There are no refunds for subscriptions.
