Why
Feminist?
It's All About Our Bodies
There are lots of different ways to be "feminist," but at the very core, feminism is simply the belief that all people, regardless of sex, gender, or sexual orientation, should be treated equitably.
Unfortunately, not all people are treated equitably in the fitness and exercise industry. Bodies that are fat, gender nonconforming, queer, disabled, non-white, etc. are excluded often excluded from "fitness."
Keeping marginalized populations weak, sick, tired, and overstimulated is a tool of oppression. Feminist Fitness works to make fitness accessible, enjoyable, and relevant because every body needs to move and exercise to feel good. In fact, we want you to fall in love with your body, feel strong and powerful and sexy, regardless of you size, ability, sex or gender.
And, yes, anyone can be a "feminist," including men. Read more about our philosophy!

I've attended many of Dr. Sarah's classes and can confirm she is amazing! I worked out with Sarah all the way through week 39 of my recent pregnancy, and she was amazing support.

I love Sarah's cardio drumming classes! I have awful arthritis in both knees and cardio drumming is awesome because Sarah can modify any move and I still get a great workout!
